Visitor Information

• Summer parking is in our pony paddock.

• This is sometimes a little rutted. Please get in touch if you have someone in your groups with mobility issues and I can advise an easier access.
• Our summer parking is not suitable for  low slung sports cars. It's fine for most family cars!

Winter Location: The Coffee House Cafe at Rose Farm, John Street, Utkinton CW6 0LP

• Plenty of parking. As you turn off John Street, sweep to the left and the entrance is the door in the middle of the building

• I provide aprons but don't advise Sunday best.
• All shoulder length and longer hair to be tied back please.
• If you are coming to our marquee please note that this can't be heated to tropical temperatures if the weather is cool - warmer clothing (tight rather than floaty sleeves are best) is advised.
• Anyone with a cough/cold/similar please let me know the day before/on arrival and I can make arrangements to prevent transfer.
• Those who have/have had a tummy bug within the previous 48 hours are not permitted on site for obvious reasons!

• The activities take place in our marquee within our garden. We have an outside toilet and no formal cafe facilities. 
• The Coffee House Cafe has plenty of parking on tarmac, a toilet and cafe facilities til 3.00pm.
• You/children will be making and tasting chocolate and you'll wrap your produce to take home.

• Your booking confirmation will request special food requirements - you can either respond for everyone or send out the food allergy form to guests which comes directly back to me.
• I don't advise this activity for those with a nut allergy. I don't handle nuts within the business, however a number of my suppliers don't guarantee a nut free factory.
• With sufficient (2 weeks) notice I can usually accommodate most food requirements. If you are aware of any special food requirements at booking it's great to know at that time.
• Where practical I can usually swap ingredients. Occassionally a participant might need to leave out one or two of the ingredients/tasting chocolates but this does not detract from the experience as there's always plenty of ingredients/chocolate choice.

You should receive an email confirmation within 2 working days - if you can't locate it please check your spam then contact me and I can resend via whatsapp.

I contact you 10 days before your party/function to check final arrangements. You can change numbers/party package/options (incl party tea) etc at that point.

The balance of your party is due a week before your activity if paying by  bacs or on the day in cash (please let me know if you'd prefer to pay in cash)

 

Please arrive 5 minutes before the start time of your activity to ensure you're ready to start on time. If you're bringing party food you're welcome to arrive 20 minutes before your activity starts but please leave all children with an adult in the car parking area.

If you text me on arrivaI will come and collect you at the appropriate time.

My marquee has some decoration in it (video below). You are welcome to add to those decorations/bring helium balloons - all I ask is that you don't mark the marquee (no super sticky attachments), any balloons are only used inside or at the entrance to the marquee (ponies and balloons don't mix!) and you take all decorations and fixings with you when you leave.

There is usually a happy birthday banner in the marquee - what works really well is 1 or 2 sets of 3 helium balloons, one for inside the marquee, one for the entrance. A balloon arch can be displayed on the same table as the cake. Please ensure no  balloons escape into the environment - we are in a rural area and balloons do cause death to livestock if they investigate and eat them.

The Coffee House at Rose Farm doesn't have any decorations, however it is really nicely decorated (pic below) so doesn't really need anything else. Same rules apply if you'd like to bring additional decorations (no marking/damage and please remove all decorations and fixings).

At least one adult is required to remain at a children's party at all times.

I prefer it if parents of guests at children's parties drop and go to enable the children to hear what I'm saying and follow my instructions.

If you have booked a child's party AND have arranged to stay for party tea you're welcome to bring a birthday cake.  In order to finish on time (and so everything is nice and sparkly and ready for my next party), singing happy birthday needs to be done at least 10 mins before the end of the party. Birthday cake may be cut up here but please add it to the party bags for the children to take home as it just takes ages to cut , hand out and for the children to eat it. (Plus they've usually had some form of desert with their party tea so not in need to cake)

If you would like us to serve the food etc please request the service option. Please do not feel the need to tidy up after party tea - we'll sort that out.

You are welcome to bring prosecco to  the Marquee for adult events - just let me know and I'll provide glasses. Alternatively I can provide hot drinks for adults for adult events - please just ask.

If you would like to follow your adult chocolate activity with afternoon tea please let me know - I can usually arrange this for you (or put you in touch with someone who can assist)
